Hiking and Yoga                       £28/£20

Take a breath in Brighton's local nature reserve, explore Brighton from a different perspective and enjoy a yoga practice with a view, all wrapped up into a day of hiking, yoga and nature.

Hiking and yoga with a view

Panoramic views

The day will start with some Qi-Gong-inspired movements to clear the mind before heading out for a scenic hike through wide-open fields and panoramic views of Brighton's famous coastline.

Yoga in nature

We'll stop for a beginner-friendly feel-good yoga session on a panoramic hill. On the way, we'll pass sheep, cows and many local birds. The tour leaves you with a fresher and more open feeling in body and mind.

All You need to know

What to expect

Duration: 4 - 5 hours depending on group
Meeting Point: 10:00 at Asda Brighton Marina, next to the car park.

Brighton's Local Nature Reserve is only a short walk away. We will start the day with some Qi-Gong-inspired movements to begin our hiking tour with a fresh mind. We will be walking through nature, wide-open grasslands and spectacular panoramic views. The 60-minute yoga class could be in woodlands or on a scenic hill up to the weather conditions.

How to get there?

Bus: Take Bus Number 7 to Brighton Marina bus stop “ASDA”.

Car: There is a free multistory car park next to the Asda car park. The maximum parking is 4 hours, but it’s up to the group how long it takes. It might be better to take the bus, so you don’t have to worry about being back in time. Or use this app to find a parking space: https://www.justpark.com/uk/parking/brighton-marina-village

You could also rent a city bike and cycle along the seafront.

What to bring?

Please pack different things up to the weather. Keep in mind that the weather can change, and it can be windy up the hills! Here is a little tick list! Minimum one litre of water Sun cover (A hat, sunscreen and a shawl or something to cover your shoulders with.) Any medication that you need! Tissues and hand sanitiser A warm jumper in case it gets cold. A Yoga mat and any equipment you might want to use. (Let me know if you haven't got a yoga mat as I can provide one!)

What to wear?

Please dress differently in different weather conditions! Please bring a warm jumper anyway in case it gets windy! Good shoes with a good grip. (No Convers!) A beany hat for wind and sun. A warm Jumper :) Comfortable trousers that are suitable for yoga.

What if it rains?

A little bit of rain should be ok, but if it's pouring down or if it's very windy, we might have to cancel the event, in which case you will get a full refund or come along to the next event.

What about toilets?

There are toilets at the start of the walk at Asdas. There are no toilets in the South Downs, but many bushes and not many people!

What fitness level is it?

It is a moderate walk, including a few little hills. The yoga class is sufficient for all levels. You need to be fit enough to walk up a moderate slope!
