Come along to yoga and forest bathing at Stanmer Park and Wild Park, one of Brighton's local nature reserves with its beautiful woodlands.


We will meet at 10:00 o clock at Stanmer Park Tea Rooms  and start the day with a walk through the woodlands. There is the perfect place for a 90-minute yoga class followed by Shinrin-Yoku, forest bathing.

Forest Bathing

Shinrin Yoku means bathing in the forest atmosphere. This Japanese method of observing nature whilst breathing deeply is proven to reduce stress and improve concentration and memory.


Surprisingly, the weather is mostly all right, but we will cancel the class if it's very windy and rainy. You will get a full refund!

The Yoga and Forest Bathing day retreat is happening every month. You can choose the date during the booking process!

All You need to know

What to expect

Duration: 4 hours
Meeting Point: 10:00 am at Stanmer Park Tea Rooms.

We will start the day with a walk through the forest followed by 90 minutes of Yoga among the trees and 20 minutes of forest bathing. The walk through Wild Park will include woodlands and wide-open fields.
We will end the day retreat at about 2 o clock.

How to get there?

Bus: Bus 25 to Stanmer Park. The Bus takes about 20 - 30 minutes from Brighton. Please check the schedule here! Car: It's easy to find a place to park at Stanmer Park. There are several car parks and many places to park along the way.

What to bring?

You need to pack different things up to the weather. But please keep in mind that the weather can change, and it can be windy up the hills! Here is a little tick list!

  1. Minimum one litre of water
  2. Sun cover (A hat, sunscreen and a shawl or something to cover your shoulders with.)
  3. Any medication that you need!
  4. Tissues and hand sanitiser
  5. A warm jumper in case it gets cold.
  6. A Yoga matt and any equipment you might want to use. (Let me know if you haven't got a yoga mat as I can provide one!)

What to wear?

You need to dress differently in different weather conditions! Please bring a warm jumper anyway in case it gets windy!

  1. Good shoes with a good grip. (No Convers!)
  2. A beany hat for wind and sun.
  3. A warm Jumper!

What if it rains?

A little bit of rain should be ok, but if it rains heavily or if it is very windy, we would cancel the event. You will get a full refund if the retreat is cancelled!

What about toilets?

We will pass a toilete at the start and at the end. There are no toilets in the Wild Park, but many bushes and not many people!

What fitness level is it?

The yoga class is beginner-friendly and suitable for all levels. You need to be fit enough to walk up a moderate slope!
